5 BLUSH HACKS EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW

7:42 PM

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing with you a few blush hacks that have definitely made my life easier, makeup wise haha.
I was inspired to share these tips after a beautiful blush palette I recently got.
So this post will be a 2 in 1, some blush applying hacks that I hope you find useful and also a haul of an affordable blush palette.

HACK NUMBER 1 - FLAWLESS COMPLEXION

If you have a problem of your blush looking streaky and uneven, you might be putting it on wrong.

If you apply powder blush, make sure you don't put it directly over your foundation.
You should dust a thin layer of powder over the foundation and only then go ahead and blush.
The blush may be sticking to the cream foundation which is preventing it from blending evenly.

And the other way around, you should only put cream blush over the foundation.
After that, you can set it with a setting powder or a powder blush if you want.

HACK NUMBER 2 - GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR BLUSH

You should pick a blush according to your skin type.

If you have oily skin, powder blushes would work best for you and last longer.

If you have dry or mature skin,
you should go for a cream or a liquid blush to add some glow and dimension to your complexion.

Of course if you have combination skin,
pick a blush according to the specific skin type your have at your cheek area.

HACK NUMBER 3 - WAIT TILL THE END

You should wait until after you are done with your eyeshadows and lipstick
to do your blush.

The reason is if you put on blush beforehand, you might end up with a terrible clash of colors,
between the blush, eyeshadows and lip color.

Also, you may use a heavy hand on the blush, thinking it would balance out with natural eyes,
and ending up with a much more dramatic look than you were going for.

HACK NUMBER 4 - TAMING THE BLUSHER

If you are really excited about your blush color and end up putting a little too much,
don't panic!

You can easily dust on your regular face powder to help blend the blush,
balance it out and tone down the pigment.

For a cream blush that has gone wild, tone it down with your foundation brush or sponge.

HACK NUMBER 5 - NO BLUSH? NO PROBLEM!

If you are ever traveling and forget to pack any blush with you,
or your are just out and about and feel like adding a little color to your cheeks,
no worries.

The best way to use one product for two purposes is to whip out your lipstick.
Dab a little amount of lipstick on your cheeks and blend it out with your fingers.

Use your ring finger to lightly blend it without disturbing any of the makeup you already have on.

HAUL TIME

And now for the haul. I felt like I mush share this beauty bargain I got.
This 10 shade blush palette cost only $4.90 on AliExpress.

To my surprise, the shades are really pigmented and blend very well.
The shipping is free worldwide, and I got the package after 3 weeks.

You can click HERE for a link to the product.
And now lets get to the swatches.

  4. I loved this post and it's interesting how you mentioned in tip one about placing powder over the cheeks first! I normally skip powder and find my blush and contour does blend well but maybe not to it's full potential so I'm definitely going to give this a try from now on :) x
